REFURBISHMENTS WORKS !
From Tuesday 31st May work commences to refurbish the nurse treatment rooms at the surgery. Please accept our apologies in advance for possible disruption whilst we undertake this necessary work.
With effect from 26th January 2016 Beauchamp House Surgery will temporarily be unable to offer new patient registrations. This is because the registered list size has increased to a number whereby this action is now necessary in order to protect the quality of the services offered to those patients currently registered with the practice.
We will also only be able to offer 'temporary patient/resident' appointments to patients staying in a household that is already registered with this Practice.
New babies born to mothers who are registered here will continue to be registered.
Should you have any queries regarding this decision please ask to speak to the Practice Manager or the Reception Manager. We will continue to review the list size on an on-going basis.
As the weather declines we are seeing an increased number of patients with upper respiratory infections. Almost all of these are VIRAL in nature and not BACTERIAL, and therefore ANTIBIOTICS WILL NOT HELP.
Before making an appointment to see a doctor, please try cold and flu remedies from your pharmacy, drink plenty of fluids and keep warm. It can sometimes take a week to 10 days for symptoms to improve. Your local pharmacist will be happy to advise and, of course do contact the surgery if symptoms worsen or you remain concerned.
If you are a patient on one of our ‘at risk’ registers, or are over the age of 65, and have not already done so, please make an appointment for your flu vaccination.
Please book in for your flu jabs if you are eligible.
